T&B Contractors are going Green!!
Our boys are going Green and reducing their carbon footprint by replacing their work vans with Two-wheel modes of transport.

Instead of driving to sites, Stephen Gansby - Main Works Site Manager who lives in Hitchin now commutes into London via train, un-folds his bike and carries on his journey under his own steam to site.

Special Works Division has also introduced this mode of transport to get around sites in London as part of the UCL Framework. Martin King who is a Carpenter carrying out the works around sites in London is pleased with his new wheels.

Got me bang to rights Gov!

St Albans Registry Office - Contract value: £8,000
The former St Albans Prison Gatehouse featured as H.M Prison Slade in ‘Porridge’ TV series which featured Ronnie Barker as Norman Stanley Fletcher.

Works were carried out for Mouchel which involved external re-pointing to the rear of the gatehouse building, internal repairs , redecoration of the Verulam and Alban Ceremony rooms as well as work to the original prison doors at the main entrance.

The Special Works team involved on the scheme included Nigel Toll (Contracts Manager) Keith Robinson (Site Foreman) with a site team of Garry Clarke, Geoff Gray and Fergus Tolly.

The Chief registrar Claire Cook was very happy with the works carried out scoring T&B very highly on our Contract Completion forms with her comment we can “come again anytime.”
