There’s light for our Heroes..!!
Special Works Contracts Manager Paul Ellis once again became a local celebrity after headlining the front page of his local paper, The Watford Free in December.
Paul, his wife Jane and daughter Kirsty rigged up an array of colourful lights & decorations to the front of their house to raise money for the Armed Forces charity Help For Heroes.
The bulbs mounted to the wall were accompanied by a snow machine and the inflated figures of Homer Simpson, Scooby Doo, Tigger, Bugs Bunny and a pair Santa-suited polar bears. The grand unveiling was attended by 100 people who gathered nearby as Paul flicked the switch.
Paul said “We enjoy it. We worry about the electricity bill in February.”
The lights which have been on every night throughout December between 5pm - 10pm will be running until 6th January. So far the attraction has raised £605.00 for Help the Heroes so a big thank you to all those who have donated money so far.
